ON-LINE SOA JOB DESCRIPTIONS TO ASSIST WITH SUCCESSION PLANING

Further to our discussions on the benefits of On-line Information please find
this link to SOA On-line Position Descriptions for the Committee's consideration
and comparison with the On-line PDF Files

A	Position Descriptions have same Structure
B	Assist with Succession Planning
C	SOA Volunteer Program Coordinator [VPC]

A	POSITION DESCRIPTIONS HAVE SAME STRUCTURE

These Positions Descriptions have the same structure (This was a key aspects of work
carried out by Members of the "Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information
Standards [OASIS]" eg Presentation "XML in the Government Tender Process")

A	Position Overview eg Vice-Chair
B	Position Description eg Secretary
C	Key Responsibilities eg Treasurer
D	Competencies, Skills, Experience, and Education eg Vice-Chair
E	Performance Tasks and Key Performance Indicators [KPI] eg Secretary
F	Key Relationships & Interactions eg Treasurer
G	SOA Vision & Athlete's Oath - same for all Volunteer positions

B	ASSIST WITH SUCCESSION PLANNING

There are many benefits on On-line Position Descriptions including:

a	At the meeting Sat 31 Oct 2015 many of the delegates raised the issue of effective
Succession Planning which is where On-line Position Descriptions enables Volunteer
Members to review the Positions requirements and the eCredits rewards options that
can assist the SOA Volunteer Program Coordinator

b	8 web-pages sponsor pages with 6 sponsors per page to increase the revenue
	for the Clubs

ie 8 descriptions with 7 elements each with 6 sponsors = 336 local sponsor pages

c	it is far simpler to review On-line Job descriptions than download PDF files

d	it creates local web-maintenance work for each community

C	SOA VOLUNTEER PROGRAM COORDINATOR [VPC]

Here is a link to the "SOA Volunteer Program Coordinator [VPC]" job description which
may help the Volunteers to work with the VPC to a reach the objectives for each Club
